Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Yacht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Martel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raymond Yacht! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Martel! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yacht dodges the punch combination from Martel.
Martel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Yacht. Yacht tries for a takedown but Martel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Yacht avoids the body shot from Martel.
Yacht is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Martel's half guard. Yacht trying to advance position but Martel counters by regaining guard. Yacht slips nicely into half guard. Yacht is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martel is controlling Yacht's position as best he can from this difficult position. Martel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Martel can do anything to dispel that myth. Martel keeping control of the position. Martel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yacht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yacht is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Martel reverses the position - he's now on top in Yacht's guard.

Yacht wants to sweep here but Martel controlling him for the moment. Yacht controls Martel momentarily but Martel frees himself. Martel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yacht is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Yacht tries for a takedown but Martel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Yacht. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yacht shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martel as he jumps to the side. Yacht shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martel as he jumps to the side. Martel misses with a straight left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Yacht tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Martel swivels and escapes. Yacht fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martel avoids it really well and circles away. Yacht dives in and grabs Martel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martel pushes down on Yacht's head and hops out. Martel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Martel pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Yacht moves out of range as Martel strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yacht ducks under a wild hook from Martel. Yacht shoots in looking for a takedown. Martel tries to sprawl out of it but Yacht keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Martel waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Yacht. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yacht scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Yacht seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Yacht is taking a breather. Martel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Martel is not content to let Yacht control the position. Martel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Yacht. Yacht works his foot free and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yacht wants to take Martel's back but he can't do it this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yacht goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Martel turns into him and now he's in Yacht's guard.
Yacht throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Martel escapes and throws Yacht's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Martel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Charles Martel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Martel throws a shot to the body.
Yacht shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yacht was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Yacht is landing with some decent strikes but Martel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Yacht trying to control but he's not successful this time. Yacht fails to advance to Martel's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Yacht.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yacht works his way to his opponent's back.

Yacht misses with a takedown attempt - Martel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Yacht fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Yacht showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Martel.
Martel throws out a powerful jab. Martel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Yacht doesn't seem bothered though. Martel misses with a wild body shot. Martel throws a jab when Yacht was well out of range. Martel throws a body punch but Yacht moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yacht is defended easily by Martel. Martel throws a hook but Yacht blocks it. No luck for Yacht with that takedown attempt. Yacht shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martel as he jumps to the side.

Yacht gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Martel throws a nice looking combination but Yacht bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Martel looks to throw the jab but Yacht is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martel clobbers Yacht with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Yacht scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Yacht swings around for an armbar but Martel sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yacht's guard. Yacht controlling Martel's posture. Yacht is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martel defends well. Yacht has a closed guard, preventing Martel from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yacht controls Martel momentarily but Martel frees himself. Martel controlling from the top position. Yacht has an active guard here but Martel has managed to pass into half guard.

Yacht tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Martel swivels and escapes. Martel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Yacht shoots in for a double leg but Martel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Yacht will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Charles Martel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Yacht throws a nice looking combination but Martel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Charles Martel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yacht. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Yacht showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Martel.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Yacht shoots for a takedown but Martel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Martel. No joy for Yacht on that attempt. Martel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Yacht's hands. Martel misses with a hook. Yacht dodges the punch combination from Martel.

Yacht pushes Martel against the cage but Martel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Martel misses the jab. Martel lands with a nice combination. Yacht backs away looking to recover.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Yacht. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Martel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yacht's head. Yacht slips under a jab. Horrible takedown by Yacht or perhaps it was just good defense by Martel which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Yacht. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Martel looking for a sweep. Not yet Martel, not yet. Charles Martel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Yacht controlling from the top position. Raymond Yacht has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yacht is pushing down on Martel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Martel is fighting to maintain full guard but Yacht has managed to sneak the leg through.
