Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luis Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leigh Irons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chang comes to the cage accompanied by Death of me. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Irons as he avoids it easily.
Chang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Irons swivels and escapes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chang.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Chang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Irons checks the leg kick.
Irons takes the fight into the clinch.
Irons turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Chang tries to bench press Irons off him but Irons keeps the position.

Irons with shots to the head and body - Chang looks very uncomfortable down there.
Irons is going olschool here, as he tries to force Chang to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chang shrugs it off.

Despite being in the dominant position, Leigh Irons just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Irons lands with a kick to the temple. Chang shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Irons decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Irons wants to free his trapped foot but Chang is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Irons pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Irons counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Chang flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Irons is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chang sees it coming and defends easily.
Chang wants to improve his position but Irons is controlling well.
Chang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Irons's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Irons's back!
Irons turns into Chang and is now in his guard.
Irons stands and steps away. Chang gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chang tries to roll over but Irons keeps him under control.
Irons passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Chang!

Irons has hold of Chang's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chang manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Irons tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Irons has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chang's face.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chang takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Chang is trying desperately to improve position.
Irons stands up from mount. Strange move.
Chang shoots and misses
and Irons counters with a single leg into guard. Chang didn't expect that.
Chang keeping moving, preventing Irons from controlling successfully.
Irons won't allow Chang to sweep him here.

Irons is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Irons stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Chang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Irons controls the pace.
Chang wants to sweep here but Irons controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leigh Irons showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Irons gets a clinch.
Chang using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Irons has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Chang wants to get back to striking at distance but Irons won't allow it.
A knee to the head by Irons.
Chang jumps guard but Irons stands there with Chang around his waist. Chang gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Irons has clasped his hands together around Chang's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Chang seems a little lost for a moment, as Irons dominates the positioning.
Leigh Irons has got the better of the ground game so far.
Irons decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chang to his feet.
Chang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Irons counters with a left and a right that stings Chang.
Chang fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Irons shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Irons showed some decent athleticism there.
Chang is looking to improve his position.

Irons content to control rather than advance.
Chang wants to control but Irons is keeping busy.
Irons escapes and gets back to his feet.
Irons shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Irons cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Irons is landing with some decent strikes but Chang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Chang tries to reverse the position but Irons maintains control.
Irons with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Irons lands a big shot there that rocks Chang but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Luis Chang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leigh Irons is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Irons has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
