Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Luis Cantero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Milani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cantero's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, La mandanga. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Leo Milani enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Luis Cantero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Milani!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milani shoots in but no luck this time.
Milani shoots for a takedown but Cantero saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cantero leaves Milani with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jose Luis Cantero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Milani.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Milani throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cantero is looking to work some ground and pound but Milani has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Milani shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Cantero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Milani's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Milani can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cantero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Milani shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cantero counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Cantero pushes Milani up against the ropes in a clinch.

Cantero manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Milani can't escape the position.
Milani looks gassed!
Milani throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Cantero blocks Milani's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Cantero postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Milani looks a forlorn figure.

Milani wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Cantero is looking to control Milani but Milani is wriggling around and keeping busy.
I really don't envy Milani right now.

Cantero is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Milani. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Milani tries to escape but Cantero has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Cantero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cantero doesn't have the hooks in and Milani manages to turn into his guard.

Cantero is looking to sinch up a triangle. Milani throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cantero's body to avoid the submission. Cantero has instead reached around Milani's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cantero arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jose Luis Cantero!
