Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergei Olyanek!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olyanek misses with a takedown attempt - King sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Olyanek shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches King napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Olyanek tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Olyanek passes to full mount! That's big trouble for King!
Olyanek has hold of King's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and King manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Olyanek is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. King can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Olyanek working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.
Olyanek is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But King has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from King!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Olyanek is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and King defends well.
Olyanek looks gassed!
King controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
King is looking to stand up but Olyanek won't let him.
King trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
King passes Olyanek's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Olyanek looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Olyanek is looking to improve his position.
Olyanek looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Olyanek knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
King is trying to control. Olyanek wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
King knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Olyanek on the ground.
Olyanek tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
King stuns Olyanek with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
No luck for Olyanek with that takedown attempt.
Olyanek ducks right into an uppercut from King.
King lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Olyanek falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
