Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatez takes a swing at Maker's ribcage but misses.

Gatez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Maker is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gatez connects with a decent elbow.
Gatez is looking to take a break and control but Maker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Money Maker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gatez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maker's waist but Maker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gatez off to one side.
Gatez looks to land a right hand but Maker moved out of range.
Gatez fails with the takedown.
Gatez dives in and grabs Maker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maker pushes down on Gatez's head and hops out.
Gatez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maker was well out of range. Poor timing from Gatez.
Maker shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
No joy there for Gatez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Maker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Maker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Maker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Gatez lands with a hook. Maker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gatez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gatez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Gatez shoots for a double leg takedown but Maker sprawls well. He's pushed Gatez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gatez works over Maker with some ground and pound from guard.
Gatez looking to sit in guard and control but Maker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Money Maker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
