Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Overmars! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie Borat! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overmars darts in and clinches Borat up against the cage. Overmars is working for takedown but Borat is calmly controlling the position for now. Overmars jumps into guard, dragging Borat to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Overmars looking to hit a scissor sweep but Borat is one step ahead there. Borat wanted to stand there but Overmars had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borat stands and steps away. Overmars gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Borat manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Borat throws a lazy right hand but Overmars sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Borat cracks Overmars with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Robbie Borat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circling - Borat throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Overmars shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Borat pinned against the cage. Borat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Overmars. That's going to take a lot out of him. Borat throws an overhand right that lands on Overmars's shoulder, as Overmars tries to avoid the shot. Robbie Borat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Borat trying to remain calm as Overmars controls from the top position. Borat is trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. That was a close second round but I would say that Charles Overmars will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Charles Overmars's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Overmars moves into the clinch. Borat has had enough of the clinch but Overmars keeps him there for the moment. Borat wants to get back to striking at distance but Overmars won't allow it.

Overmars postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Borat to stand up. Borat looks to land a right hand but Overmars moved out of range. A big right from Borat misses. Borat missing with a left hand there. Overmars was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Borat looks to throw the jab but Overmars is out of range. Nice straight punches there by Borat. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Borat. Nice sprawl there from Borat as Overmars shoots in. A jab from Borat misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borat stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A swing and a miss from Borat. Overmars blocks a jab. Overmars fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Overmars will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Overmars. That's going to take a lot out of him. Overmars blocks a jab. Borat misses with a hook. Overmars shoots in and bounces Borat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Borat wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Overmars manages to pass to side control.
