Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zygote Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalevi Rustola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rustola has chosen Anvil of Crom as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zygote Fedor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fedor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fedor takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Rustola avoids the body shot from Fedor.
Fedor moves into the clinch.
Fedor drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rustola tightens his grip and picks Fedor up, before dumping him to the ground. Fedor manages to land in guard.

Fedor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fedor is on top in guard.
Fedor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rustola's guard.

Fedor is taking a breather. Rustola says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Fedor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rustola swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rustola shoots in and drives through. Fedor sprawls well.

Fedor moves in looking to clinch but Rustola pushes him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fedor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rustola swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Fedor counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fedor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fedor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rustola.
Fedor shoots in looking for a takedown. Rustola tries to sprawl out of it but Fedor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rustola manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
