Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Eckel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dustin Barton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terry Eckel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dustin Barton! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eckel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Barton manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Eckel wants to pass the guard but Barton is keeping the position. Barton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eckel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Eckel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barton looking for a guillotine here but Eckel defends easily.
Eckel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Eckel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Eckel trying to control but Barton is working from the bottom. Eckel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eckel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Barton keeping moving, preventing Eckel from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Eckel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Eckel wants to pass the guard but Barton is keeping the position. Eckel is looking to work some ground and pound but Barton has wrist control. Eckel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Eckel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barton manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Eckel has Barton in his guard. Eckel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Eckel is breathing heavily. Barton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Barton stands and throws Eckel's legs to the side, diving into side control. Barton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Eckel is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Eckel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Eckel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barton's best efforts. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Barton trying to mount his opponent but Eckel defends it. Barton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Barton is working for a submission of some sort.
Barton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eckel defends it well. Barton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eckel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eckel looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Eckel actively working from the bottom here. Eckel flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Eckel looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Barton prevents Eckel from improving his position. Barton is working for a kimura but Eckel is defending it quite comfortably.
Barton wants to work for an arm triangle but Eckel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Eckel rushes Barton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Eckel is working for takedown but Barton is calmly controlling the position for now. Eckel drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Barton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Barton drags the fight down to the ground.
Barton is looking for a triangle but Eckel pushes his legs off easily.
Barton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Eckel tries to roll over but Barton keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eckel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barton. Eckel trying to control from the bottom.
Barton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Eckel gets back to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Barton dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Barton tries for a takedown but Eckel circles away easily and Eckel counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Barton! Eckel lands with some strikes. Eckel is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Eckel extends the arm and Barton is forced to tap!
