Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Forio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Forio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anderson Cardoso! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardoso fails in his attempt to clinch. Cardoso tries to clinch but Forio is having none of it. Cardoso tries to clinch there but Forio circles away.
Cardoso wants to clinch. Cardoso tries to clinch up. Cardoso tries to close the distance and clinch up but Forio swats him away and circles back towards the center. Forio keeps the fight on the outside. Cardoso gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Forio is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Forio postures up in Cardoso's guard and throws a big left but Cardoso blocks it. Cardoso avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Forio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cardoso swivels though and keeps the full guard. Forio is looking to work some ground and pound but Cardoso has wrist control. Forio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. That's one minute gone in the round. Cardoso is looking to reverse the position. Cardoso sneaks back into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Forio connects with a nice short shot to Cardoso's temple. Cardoso looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Forio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cardoso doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Forio. Forio is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Cardoso regains half guard. Forio trying to mount his opponent but Cardoso defends it. Forio working Cardoso over with strikes.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Forio is working for a submission of some sort.
Forio missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cardoso wants to improve his position but Forio is controlling well.
Nice strikes from Forio there. Cardoso slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Forio keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cardoso's head. Forio is breathing heavily. Cardoso keeping full guard, as Forio tries to pass. Cardoso keeping moving, preventing Forio from controlling successfully. Cardoso throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Forio wants to pass the guard but Cardoso is keeping the position. Cardoso utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cardoso throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Cardoso lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Forio! Forio can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cardoso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Forio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Forio wants to get back to full guard. Forio is in trouble now - Cardoso has advanced to mount! Forio is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Cardoso looking to isolate an arm here. Forio doesn't see it coming and as Cardoso extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Cardoso!
