Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brock Sweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scally Wag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sweeney comes to the cage accompanied by Jesus Walks. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Scally Wag! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wag throws a right and a left that both miss. Sweeney closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wag wants to get back to his feet.
Sweeney not doing much here.
Sweeney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wag on the ground. Wag wants to improve his position but Sweeney is controlling well.
Sweeney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wag is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sweeney scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sweeney lands a nice short elbow. Sweeney looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Wag has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sweeney is working away from the top position though. Well, if Sweeney is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Sweeney lands a couple of elbows. Sweeney's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sweeney content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wag wants to stand up but Sweeney is controlling him. Wag trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sweeney won't allow Wag to get back to his feet. Sweeney slips nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweeney is figuring out what he wants to do next. Sweeney is nestled in close to Wag, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sweeney sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wag is trying to stand up here but Sweeney is controlling him well. Brock Sweeney dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sweeney is stalling in the full guard. Wag is trying to control the position but Sweeney postures up. Sweeney slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sweeney distracts Wag with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wag is looking to stand up but Sweeney isn't so interested in that idea. Wag looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wag is breathing heavily. Sweeney is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweeney advances to half guard. Sweeney takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Brock Sweeney just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sweeney feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sweeney content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sweeney avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sweeney got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wag has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wag had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sweeney is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wag Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sweeney's back instead. Sweeney is having to fend off submission attempts from Wag, who is looking to sink in the choke. Wag doesn't have the hooks in though and Sweeney manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Sweeney controlling from the top position. Sweeney working some strikes from top position. Sweeney makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sweeney distracts Wag with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wag throws a right and a left that Sweeney avoids nicely. Sweeney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wag sprawls well. Wag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sweeney postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sweeney is in close to Wag's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wag landing some decent shots from guard. Sweeney throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Wag would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Sweeney wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wag wanted to stand there but Sweeney had control of the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wag lands a lovely overhand right. Nice takedown defense from Wag. No joy for Sweeney on that attempt. Sweeney takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Wag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sweeney fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wag avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Sweeney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wag thows a leg kick but Sweeney checks it and Sweeney counters with a shoot takedown. Wag fights it but they end up in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sweeney's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wag looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wag is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brock Sweeney is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweeney is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wag scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wag lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sweeney circles away quickly and effectively. Wag attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Wag misses with a double jab.
Sweeney shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wag tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sweeney is able to avoid easily. Brock Sweeney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sweeney has a takedown stuffed. Wag throws a head kick but Sweeney moves out of range.

Sweeney looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Scally Wag has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wag being controlled here, momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Sweeney showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sweeney, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
