Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leviathan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azelja Kajin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Blood and Thunder - Mastodon. Azelja Kajin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leviathan Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Azelja Kajin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kajin is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kajin pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.

Kajin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones throws a right and a left that Kajin avoids nicely.
Jones tries to bum rush Kajin with a series of wild strikes but Kajin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Kajin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kajin circles away quickly and effectively.
Kajin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kajin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kajin somewhat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones throws a hook to the side of Kajin's head but Kajin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kajin misses with a kick to the body.
Nice body punch from Jones.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kajin counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Kajin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Leviathan Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kajin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kajin as he jumps to the side.
Kajin fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Azelja Kajin will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kajin drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kajin manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kajin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jones stalks Kajin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kajin's face. Kajin staggers backwards, shaken.

and Kajin counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Jones wants to improve his position but instead Kajin has moved into half guard.
Leviathan Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kajin is working away from the top position though.

Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Kajin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kajin is controlling him.

Kajin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leviathan Jones.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
