Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howie Mandell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua's entrance music is I Wanna Be Somebody by: W.A.S.P.. A fine choice. Mandell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Yes. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pedro Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Howie Mandell!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rua paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mandell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rua.
Mandell is looking to clinch.
Mandell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mandell fails to land the takedown.
Rua bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mandell's head.
It looks like Howie Mandell has been cut.
Mandell tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rua throws a head kick that misses.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Mandell.

A solid leg kick lands there for Rua.
Mandell looks gassed!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mandell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rua - the referee stops the clock and Mandell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rua. Mandell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mandell on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rua.
Rua moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mandell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rua scores with a leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rua.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Rua knocks Mandell out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pedro Rua!
