The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aeger misses with a straight left.
Aeger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jonesy is looking to clinch.

The fighters circle momentarily. Aeger darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Aeger throws a series of punches but Jonesy avoids them all with ease.

That's time! Jonesy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jonesy closes the distance and pushes Aeger back into the cage.
Jonesy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jonesy rushes Aeger and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Jonesy.

Jonesy is trying to trip Aeger. He has hold of a leg but Aeger is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jonesy persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aeger cracks Jonesy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pop Jonesy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
