The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Reed lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Reed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reed works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bloomfield keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed trying to control the pace.
Bloomfield taking some punishment here, with Reed in his half guard.

Reed not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reed tries to pass to full mount but Bloomfield defends it.
Reed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Reed lands with a punch from half guard.
Bloomfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Reed perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bloomfield looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reed trying to mount his opponent but Bloomfield defends it.
Reed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bloomfield lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Good shot there by Bloomfield.

Reed shoots in and bounces Bloomfield off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bloomfield working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reed.

Bloomfield keeping full guard, as Reed tries to pass.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Bloomfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reed looking to pass the guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Reed drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bloomfield manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reed has Bloomfield in his guard.
Reed looks gassed!
Reed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bloomfield is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bloomfield trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reed's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Reed dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Bloomfield gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reed to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Reed thows a big elbow that misses.
Bloomfield working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reed.

Reed has gone for a leg lock! Bloomfield slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reed's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed is trying to keep Bloomfield in close.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reed can do anything to dispel that myth.

Reed has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bloomfield off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Chester Bloomfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Bloomfield scores with a nice strike.
Reed shoots in for a takedown but Bloomfield shows good takedown defense.
Bloomfield lands a nice hook to Reed's body. Reed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Danga de danga de dang - Bloomfield scores with a four punch combination!

Bloomfield slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reed walks into a stiff left hand from Bloomfield.
Bloomfield lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


Reed is rocked!
Crack! Bloomfield connects with the perfect overhand right and Reed falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Bloomfield!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chester Bloomfield!
