Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carvalho has chosen Notorious BIG - Victory as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evander Ali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matheus Carvalho! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ali misses with a double jab.
Ali looks to land a right hand but Carvalho moved out of range. Carvalho dodges the punch combination from Ali.
Ali rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carvalho moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carvalho swings for the body but Ali moves out of range.
Carvalho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ali's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ali looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ali wants to get back to full guard. Carvalho sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ali defending well though. Carvalho throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ali tries to get to full guard but Carvalho has control of the leg. Carvalho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ali defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho wants to work for an arm triangle but Ali is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Carvalho not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice uppercut lands for Carvalho. That snapped Ali's head back.
Ali is looking to land body kicks. Ali cracks Carvalho with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Matheus Carvalho has been cut. Carvalho moves out of range of the strikes. Ali lands a really nice looking cross but Carvalho seems unphased.
Ali misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Ali, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ali throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Evander Ali is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ali misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Carvalho. Carvalho cracks Ali with a big right hand but Ali just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
It looks like Evander Ali has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ali taking punishment in the form of punches.
Carvalho trying to control the position but Ali is working away. Carvalho is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ali has escaped the position, nice work there. Carvalho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ali, who protects the arm well. Carvalho looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ali defending against the ground and pound. Carvalho thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ali is trying to get back to half guard. Ali tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Carvalho easily slips into full mount! Ali tries to hold on but Carvalho pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carvalho working Ali over with strikes here. Carvalho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carvalho dominating with strikes here. Ali tries to hold on but Carvalho pushes him away. Carvalho tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carvalho throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ali is desperately trying to improve his position but Carvalho has a good base and remains in mount. Carvalho working Ali over with strikes here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carvalho unloading with bombs! Carvalho lands a nice shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matheus Carvalho dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ali stuffs the takedown. Ali misses with a wild combination.
Ali staying out of range there. Ali rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carvalho moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ali throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab lands there for Ali. Ali misses with a two punch combination.
Ali throws a right and a left that both miss. Ali takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ali throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carvalho bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Carvalho fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Carvalho working the head and body with strikes. Ali knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carvalho on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carvalho has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Ali! Carvalho landing strikes from the mount and Ali is in trouble!
Evander Ali's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho lands a heavy elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carvalho pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Evander Ali's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Ali tries to hold on but Carvalho postures up. Carvalho working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ali turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Carvalho off and cradles Ali's limp body as Carvalho celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Matheus Carvalho!
