Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Sander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Reardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tommy Sander has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Sander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sander bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Reardon's head backwards. Sander throws a right hand that Reardon ducks under and follows up with a left that Reardon also avoids with ease. Reardon clinches up against the cage. Sander has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Reardon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sander prevents it.
Sander is looking to break free of the clinch but Reardon has double underhooks. Reardon blocking some punches.
Reardon working some nice short punches in the clinch. Reardon scores with a nice hook to the head. Reardon tries to score a body lock takedown but Sander shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Reardon has Sander pressed against the cage.
Reardon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Reardon has a couple of punches blocked by Sander.
Sander works on Reardon's body with a couple of short punches. Reardon effectively controlling the action here. Reardon keeps control of Sander as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Reardon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Reardon looking for a takedown. Tommy Sander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Reardon. Reardon tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Reardon. Sander wants to break free but Reardon has control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reardon presses Sander against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Sander prevents a body shot from Reardon. Sander's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sander thows a body shot but no joy. Sander throws a shot to the body.
A punch combination from Sander misses. Reardon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sander counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Reardon tries to clinch up. Reardon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sander. Reardon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sander is fending him off so far but Reardon persists. Nope, Sander circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sander scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Reardon takes one on the button. Sander misses with a wild body shot. Sander is looking to wear down Reardon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. A punch combination from Sander misses. Reardon tries to close the distance and clinch but Sander swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sander throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sander scores with a jab. Reardon acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Reardon misses with a takedown attempt - Sander sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Reardon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sander avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sander closes the distance and clinches up with Reardon, looking for a takedown. Sander pushes Reardon against the cage but Reardon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A right-left combo lands from Sander. Reardon dodges the punch combination from Sander.
Reardon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sander did well to prevent Reardon getting side control. Sander punching from the bottom.
Reardon throwing shots but Sander is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reardon works his way into full mount! Sander is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Reardon with shots to the head and body - Sander looks very uncomfortable down there. Sander tries to get back to half guard but can't. Reardon avoids the attempt from Sander to control. Reardon throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sander sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reardon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sander's head. Sander is refusing to be controlled, as Reardon sits in half guard. Reardon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Sander will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sander looks to land a right hand but Reardon moved out of range. Reardon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sander counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Reardon throws a hook to the side of Sander's head but Sander sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Reardon tries to clinch up but Sander circles away and keeps his distance. Sander lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters circling - Reardon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Reardon throws a hook but Sander avoids it easily. Sander connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reardon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Reardon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sander counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Sander misses with a two punch combination.
Reardon misses with a low kick. Reardon moves into range and clinches up with Sander. Sander works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Reardon is trying to trip Sander. He has hold of a leg but Sander is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reardon persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Reardon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sander swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reardon throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sander is trying to control the position but Reardon postures up. Reardon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sander is trying to control the position but Reardon postures up. Reardon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sander keeping moving, preventing Reardon from controlling successfully. Reardon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sander preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sander takes a swing at Reardon's ribcage but misses. Reardon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sander scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Reardon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sander throws a right and a left that both miss. Sander lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reardon circles away quickly and effectively. Tommy Sander is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sander stuffs the takedown attempt from Reardon. Reardon gets slowly back to his feet. Reardon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sander.
Reardon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Reardon defending well as Sander loads up on a big left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reardon tries to clinch up. Some wild striking there from Sander.
Sander throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reardon. Reardon tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Sander to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sander throws a right and a left that Reardon avoids nicely. Sander misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Sander dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sander scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Sander cracks Reardon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sander ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reardon moves away. Donk. Reardon catches Sander right on the button with a cross. Sander throws a left and a right that both miss
and Reardon counters by clinching up. Reardon lands with a left to the head. Sander doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Sander misses with a series of wild punches.
Reardon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sander, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sander fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sander is looking to break free of the clinch but Reardon has double underhooks. Reardon lands a nice uppercut. Reardon misses with some punches.
Sander is trying to maintain a safe position but Reardon gets an underhook and turns Sander into the cage. Come on Reardon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Reardon. Sander blocking some punches.
Reardon throws a head punch that misses. Reardon lands with a left to the head. A right hand to the body from Sander.
Reardon has Sander pressed against the cage, preventing Sander from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sander gets underhooks to prevent Reardon's takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reardon. Sander does a little dance to reset his feet. Reardon is looking to clinch. No joy there for Sander, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reardon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sander counters with a straight right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sander misses with a combination
and Reardon counters with a takedown into side control. Reardon tries for a kimura but Sander is defending well. Reardon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sander is looking for a sweep. Sander manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sander is looking to improve his position.
Reardon with the ground and pound but Sander uses the opportunity to regain guard. Sander scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sander lands with a nice combination. Reardon backs away looking to recover. Reardon takes one on the button. Reardon waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Sander. Reardon misses with a low kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reardon is defended easily by Sander. Sander's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sander duly obliges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sander looks to score with a jab to the body but Reardon is just out of range. Reardon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sander counters with a series of strikes. Reardon will be more careful next time no doubt. Tommy Sander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Reardon. Good standup being displayed there by Sander as he connects with a hook. Sander throws a series of punches but Reardon moves out of range. Sander slaps away a takedown attempt from Reardon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hank Reardon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sander throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tommy Sander. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sander, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
