Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aras Szlesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jari de Mur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Mur has chosen around the world as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aras Szlesz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jari de Mur! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
![](https://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/round1.jpg) The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Mur slaps away a takedown attempt from Szlesz, before circling back to the center of the mat. No luck for Szlesz with that takedown attempt. de Mur slips a jab and a cross from Szlesz.
de Mur throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
de Mur swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
de Mur shoots in for a takedown but Szlesz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. de Mur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Szlesz pinned against the cage. Szlesz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Szlesz scores with a body shot.
Szlesz misses with a takedown attempt and de Mur counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aras Szlesz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
de Mur looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Szlesz is trying to hold de Mur in close to prevent damage but de Mur has managed to pass into half guard.
Szlesz has one foot on de Mur's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Szlesz fails with the takedown and Szlesz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Szlesz misses the body punch
and de Mur counters with a single leg into guard. Szlesz didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szlesz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Szlesz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. de Mur is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Szlesz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take de Mur's back instead. Szlesz is breathing heavily. de Mur tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! de Mur bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Szlesz keeping moving, preventing de Mur from controlling successfully.

de Mur drops back, looking for a kneebar! Szlesz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Szlesz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Szlesz! Szlesz working away. de Mur is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Szlesz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Szlesz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Szlesz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by de Mur, who protects the arm well. de Mur tries to buck Szlesz off but Szlesz is having none of it.
Szlesz decides to stand back up.

Szlesz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
de Mur moves into full guard.
de Mur is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Szlesz is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
de Mur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szlesz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Szlesz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Szlesz pushing down on de Mur's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jari de Mur dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
de Mur swats away the attempt to clinch by Szlesz. de Mur tries to clinch there but Szlesz circles away.
Horrible takedown by de Mur or perhaps it was just good defense by Szlesz which made him look bad. Aras Szlesz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Szlesz misses with a combination
and de Mur counters with a straight right hand. Szlesz throws a push kick but de Mur slaps the foot to one side. de Mur leaves Szlesz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Szlesz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Excellent takedown into side control there by de Mur. de Mur is breathing heavily. Szlesz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Szlesz is trying to control de Mur's posture but de Mur avoids it.

de Mur wants to work for an arm triangle but Szlesz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Szlesz kicks off de Mur and gets to his feet. de Mur uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Szlesz. de Mur throws a leg kick which misses Szlesz's front leg but catches the back leg as Szlesz tries to avoid it.
Szlesz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with de Mur, pushing him back against the cage.
Szlesz manages to break the clinch.

Szlesz misses the body punch and de Mur counters with a lovely shot to the body. Szlesz tries to clinch but de Mur moves out of range. Szlesz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. de Mur defends it nicely. de Mur avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Szlesz drives through with a takedown into guard.
Szlesz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing de Mur to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Szlesz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - de Mur pulls down on the head and he's put Szlesz to sleep! This one is all over!
