The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Michaels there as he acknowledges the shot.
Michaels shoots in for a double leg but Dzagoev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown but Dzagoev shows good takedown defense.
Dzagoev throws a leg kick that misses.
Dzagoev takes a swing at Michaels's ribcage but misses.
Dzagoev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Michaels, pushing him back against the cage.
Dzagoev lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Dzagoev makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Michaels is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dzagoev unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Michaels! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Dzagoev is unloading with more strikes now! Michaels drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
