Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muy Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Noonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Muy Thai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Noonan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai jabs Noonan right on the nose. Noonan blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Ryan Noonan has been cut. Noonan throws a looping overhand right but Thai ducks down to avoid it. Noonan shoots in for a takedown but Thai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A combination from Noonan does no damage. Noonan fails with a takedown attempt. Noonan shoots for a takedown but Thai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Muy Thai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Noonan. Noonan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thai moves away.
Thai gets caught flat footed, as Noonan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Noonan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Noonan is looking to work some ground and pound but Thai has wrist control. Noonan passes into half guard. Ground and pound from Noonan. Noonan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Thai knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Noonan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Thai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Noonan. Thai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Noonan working over Thai with some ground and pound. Thai looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Noonan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Noonan trying to pass the guard but Thai defending well. Noonan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thai's head. Noonan throwing shots but Thai is blocking nicely. Thai keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Noonan thows a huge punch but Thai dodges it nicely.
Noonan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Noonan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Noonan wants to pass the guard but Thai is defending well. Thai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Noonan. Noonan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Noonan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Noonan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Thai on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Noonan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Thai keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Thai on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thai tries to get out of the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Noonan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Noonan throwing shots but Thai is blocking nicely. Noonan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Noonan tries to pass to full mount but Thai defends it. Noonan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thai with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Noonan working Thai over with strikes. Noonan tries to pass to full mount but Thai defends it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Noonan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Thai has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Noonan is working away from the top position though. Noonan lands a big elbow - Thai is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Noonan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Noonan!
