Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Craig von Heinrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wright has chosen Big Bad John as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright swings for the body but von Heinrich moves out of range.
von Heinrich lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wright backs up against the cage.
von Heinrich misses with a jab, cross combination.
von Heinrich shoots in for a takedown but Wright shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
von Heinrich throws a right and a left that both miss.
von Heinrich tries to close the distance and clinch but Wright swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
von Heinrich tries to clinch but Wright is having none of it.
Wright takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
von Heinrich wants to get back to his feet.
Wright moves nicely into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

von Heinrich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wright sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but von Heinrich is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
von Heinrich is looking for a sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

von Heinrich shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wright counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Wright looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Wright seems to be working for a kimura but von Heinrich defends the submission attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horrible takedown by von Heinrich or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright which made him look bad.

Wright feints and as von Heinrich raises his hands in defense, Wright changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. von Heinrich swivels though and keeps the full guard.

von Heinrich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wright manages to get himself to full guard.
von Heinrich postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
von Heinrich has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wright is proving hard to escape from.

von Heinrich wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wright has him pressed against the cage.
