Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sky Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Dueck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is What a Rush. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sky Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Dueck! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dueck throws a low kick, looking for Hawk's leg but Hawk calmly moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dueck with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Dueck using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hawk has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Dueck misses with a knee to the head. Hawk goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dueck prevents it.
Hawk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dueck gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hawk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dueck pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sky Hawk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dueck uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hawk. Dueck looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Dueck drives through and clinches with Hawk against the cage.

Hawk turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hawk manages to end up in side control. Hawk is chipping away with strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk scores with a couple of short elbows. Dueck tries to bench press Hawk off him but Hawk keeps the position. Dueck takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hawk in side control lands a decent elbow. Hawk working the ground and pound. Dueck taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hawk wants to control but Dueck is keeping him busy. Dueck is looking for a sweep. Hawk lands a nice forearm strike. You can see the frustration on Dueck's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hawk is looking to take a break and control but Dueck is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dueck takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dueck misses with a strike from the bottom. Dueck is looking to regain half guard here but Hawk keeps moving and retains side control. Hawk connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dueck some visible discomfort.

Dueck is not content to let Hawk control the position. Hawk cracks Dueck with a big elbow. Dueck is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Dueck is trying to get back to half guard. Dueck is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hawk wants to control but Dueck is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dueck is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hawk slips a nice elbow through Dueck's hands, connecting with Dueck's forehead. Dueck is trying to control but can't.
Hawk content to control rather than advance. Ground and pound from Hawk. Dueck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hawk is working away from the top position though. Dueck is looking to improve his position.
Hawk takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hawk is trying to control the action in half guard but Dueck is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hawk connects with a nice short shot to Dueck's temple. Hawk is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hawk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hawk is nestled in close to Dueck, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dueck is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hawk tries to hold on but Dueck postures up. Dueck is landing with some decent strikes but Hawk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dueck lands a big elbow. Hawk is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hawk's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Hawk landing punches. Sky Hawk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hawk landing strikes from the mount. Hawk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hawk lands a big shot there that rocks Dueck but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Dueck tries to lock up and control but Hawk gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hawk tries to control but Dueck wriggling away. Hawk controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sky Hawk will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Dueck fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hawk is out of range. Hawk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dueck tries to avoid it but Hawk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dueck to the ground. Dueck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dueck does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hawk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dueck to the mat! Dueck manages to get full guard. Dueck looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dueck manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dueck tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hawk slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hawk lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hawk is working Dueck over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hawk tries to free his leg and advance position but Dueck is retaining full guard. Hawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Dueck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sky Hawk. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hawk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
