Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clay Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brain Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Faber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brain Smasher! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber scores with a nice right hand.

Clay Faber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Faber throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Faber tries to clinch up. Faber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smasher swats him away and circles back towards the center. Smasher gets in close and instigates a clinch. Smasher prevents a takedown attempt there.
Faber really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Faber is trying to maintain a safe position but Smasher gets an underhook and turns Faber into the cage. Faber ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Faber no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smasher's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Faber controls Smasher momentarily but Smasher frees himself. Smasher stops Faber from standing up. Smasher with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Smasher lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smasher wants to control from the top but Faber keeps moving. Smasher lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher postures up and lands a big shot to Faber's brow. Smasher has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Faber wants to sweep but no luck. Smasher trying to control but Faber is working from the bottom. Faber wants to hit a switch here but Smasher passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Faber there! Faber wants to control but Smasher is having none of it. Smasher scoring with strikes but Faber is staying in there. Smasher pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Faber wants to get back to his feet.
Smasher breaks from Faber's wrist control and lands an elbow. Smasher lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Faber hang on? Faber tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smasher is landing with some decent strikes but Faber is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Faber can't escape the position.
Faber is breathing heavily. BOOM! Smasher connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Smasher blocks Faber's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Faber is in a horrible position here. Smasher smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Smasher breaks from Faber's wrist control and lands an elbow. Smasher postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Faber looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber is bucking up trying to escape but Smasher cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Smasher is landing with some decent strikes but Faber is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Faber takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smasher cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Faber that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Smasher lands with some strikes. Smasher avoids the attempt from Faber to control. Smasher has control of Faber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Faber regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Smasher working Faber over with strikes here. A nice elbow there by Smasher. Faber is in all sorts of trouble here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smasher is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Faber can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smasher raining down shots from the mount! Smasher lands a heavy elbow. Faber tries to hold on but Smasher pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brain Smasher dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Smasher connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nice sprawl there from Faber as Smasher shoots in. Smasher throws a hook but Faber avoids it easily. Faber throws a nice head kick!
Smasher lands a jab. Faber misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Smasher is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Faber defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smasher. Smasher has closed the distance and engaged Faber in a clinch.
Smasher can't break the clinch.
Faber misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Smasher.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Faber throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smasher. Smasher gets the takedown into side control. Smasher looks up at the clock and then as Faber takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Smasher smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Smasher lands some shots froms side control. Smasher tries for a kimura but Faber is defending well. Smasher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faber keeps working. Faber wants to get back to his feet but Smasher drags him back down. Smasher working the ground and pound. Faber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smasher on the ground. Smasher scores with punches from side control. Smasher working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smasher stands up and we're back to a striking position. Smasher pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Smasher has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Smasher throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Faber on the side of the head. Clay Faber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Faber tries to clinch and Smasher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Faber misses with a combination
and Smasher counters by clinching up. Smasher manages to break the clinch.
Smasher rushes Faber and presses him up against the cage. Smasher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Faber misses with a looping right. Faber throws a head kick but Smasher moves out of range.
Smasher darts in and clinches Faber up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smasher is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Faber can't fight it off and eventually Smasher manages to take the fight to the floor. Faber looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Faber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smasher postures up and lands a big shot to Faber's brow. Smasher trying to control but Faber is working from the bottom. Faber looking for a sweep. Not yet Faber, not yet. Faber throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Smasher is standing up over Faber. Faber looks to escape but Smasher dives into side control.
Faber wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smasher creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Smasher lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Smasher decides to stand up, so the ref orders Faber to his feet. Faber gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smasher cracks Faber with a right hand to the side of the head. Smasher blocks a head kick by Faber.
Faber throws a push kick but Smasher slaps the foot to one side. Faber misses with a wild combination.
Smasher closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smasher is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Faber looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smasher gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Faber is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smasher lets go of the hold and Faber can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brain Smasher!
