Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tefy Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardinho Pfeifer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tefy Machado!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Machado.
Machado has managed to clinch.
Machado has clasped his hands together around Pfeifer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Pfeifer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Machado's best efforts.
Pfeifer is trying to get back to full guard.
Machado lands with a punch from half guard.
Pfeifer wants to improve his position but Machado is controlling well.

Machado takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Machado looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pfeifer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Machado is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pfeifer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Machado's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Machado's back!

Pfeifer keeps control of the position as Machado tries to break free.
Machado has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pfeifer gets his hands free as Machado looks to control.
Pfeifer doesn't have the hooks in and Machado manages to turn into his guard.
Machado wants to control from the top but Pfeifer keeps moving.
Machado is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Machado misses with a low kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Machado.

Pfeifer misses with a takedown attempt - Machado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Pfeifer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Machado's guard now.
Ricardinho Pfeifer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tefy Machado.

Pfeifer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Machado throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pfeifer escapes and throws Machado's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Pfeifer throws a leg kick which misses Machado's front leg but catches the back leg as Machado tries to avoid it.

and Pfeifer counters by moving into the clinch.
Machado prevents the takedown attempt.
Pfeifer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Pfeifer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Machado gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Machado tries to pull guard but Pfeifer won't allow it.
Machado is working for takedown but Pfeifer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ricardinho Pfeifer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tefy Machado.

Machado throws a head punch that misses.
Pfeifer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pfeifer is trying to break the clinch but Machado has him pressed against the cage.

and Pfeifer counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machado tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Pfeifer stands up.
Machado tries to clinch but Pfeifer moves away
and Pfeifer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Machado is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pfeifer throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Machado's body to avoid the submission. Machado has instead reached around Pfeifer's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Machado arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tefy Machado!
