Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Luimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Flay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Flay or perhaps it was just good defense by Luimes which made him look bad. Flay doesn't manage to clinch there - Luimes circles away.
Flay darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Flay seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Luimes trying to control here.
Flay uses his free foot to push down on Luimes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Luimes. Flay throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Luimes wants to hold on but Flay pushes him away. Flay prevents Luimes from getting the reversal. Flay looking to control but Luimes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Luimes wants to hold on but Flay pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luimes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Luimes regains half guard. Luimes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Luimes is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flay not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Flay is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Luimes! Luimes is working to get back to half guard.
Luimes wants to control but Flay is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Luimes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Luimes tries to hold on but Flay pushes him away. Luimes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Luimes tries to lock up and control but Flay gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Flay is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Luimes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Luimes manages to regain half guard. Good work. Luimes is breathing heavily. Luimes is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Flay pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flay wants to stand up but Luimes is controlling the position.
Luimes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Luimes wants to get back to full guard. Flay not doing much here.
Luimes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Flay. Luimes looking for submissions off his back. Flay trying to control from half guard but Luimes is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Luimes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Flay has managed to clinch.
Flay ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Flay no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Flay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luimes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Flay controlling the position. Luimes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Luimes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Luimes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Flay is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Luimes, into his guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flay sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robbie Flay dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Flay fails with the takedown. Flay throws a right and a left that both miss. Luimes fails with the takedown and Flay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Luimes pulls guard successfully.
Flay stays in close to Luimes's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flay avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Luimes looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flay is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Luimes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Luimes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Flay pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luimes is keeping the position for now. Luimes looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Flay passes into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flay working away. Flay wants to stand but Luimes has his arm trapped. Luimes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Flay. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Flay working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Luimes parries the strikes from Flay easily there. Flay is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Luimes to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Luimes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Flay avoids it really well and circles away. Flay shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luimes wants to control but Flay is having none of it. Flay controlling the position easily from mount. Luimes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Luimes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Flay sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Luimes in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Luimes reaches up to try and control the position but Flay seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Luimes rolls and tries to escape and now Flay has his back!

Flay throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Flay tightening his grip on Luimes, looking for the choke. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flay doesn't have the hooks in and Luimes manages to turn into his guard.

Robbie Flay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Luimes fails with the takedown and Flay counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flay. Luimes controls Flay momentarily but Flay frees himself. Luimes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Flay is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Luimes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Flay's back instead. Flay tries to roll but Luimes sticks to his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flay trying to control the hands but Luimes breaks the grip. Luimes doesn't have the hooks in and Flay manages to turn into his guard.

Luimes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Flay defends well. Flay wants to control from the top but Luimes keeps moving. Luimes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flay's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luimes trying to control but Flay is working from the bottom. Luimes drops back looking for a leg! Flay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flay manages to kick Luimes off! Luimes jumps back into Flay's guard. Flay trying to control the position.
Flay can't keep his opponent in guard - Luimes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Flay trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Luimes manages to pass to mount!
Richard Luimes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Luimes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Flay can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Flay tries to hold on but Luimes postures up. Flay working to try and regain half guard.
Luimes is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Flay is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Flay flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Luimes anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Flay and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Luimes slips an arm under Flay chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Luimes has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Luimes is squeezing on Flay like an anaconda would it's prey. Flay fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
