Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Peart.
Botello circles away from the clinch attempt.
Botello scores with a jab.
Botello lands a body shot.
Peart tries to clinch up but Botello circles away and keeps his distance.
Botello lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Peart at a distance.
Peart is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Botello cracks Peart with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Botello has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peart to stand back up!
It looks like Terry Peart has been cut.
Botello pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
No joy there for Botello, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Botello lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Botello lands a nice hook to Peart's body. Peart takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Botello closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Peart! Botello dives in looking to finish! Peart is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Botello!
