Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Berendt Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Seek and Destroy. Berendt Hansen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Berendt Hansen! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as King backs up against the cage.
It looks like Nathan King has been cut. Hansen pushes King away with a front kick. King is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hansen but Hansen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hansen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

No joy there for Hansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
King throws a body kick the misses and Hansen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps King thinking. Hansen feints and then cracks King's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow King down. Hansen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hansen lands a right hook to the body.
Hansen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hansen wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. Hansen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hansen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming King to the mat! King manages to get full guard. Hansen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hansen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen rushes King and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hansen lands a takedown into guard.

It looks like he's just sitting there. Hansen trying to pass the guard but King defending well. Hansen sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head. King looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hansen wants to pass to mount but King is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hansen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen stands up from half guard. Hansen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hansen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hansen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on King, up you get! A chopping leg kick lands by Hansen. Hansen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as King backs up against the cage.
Nathan King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansen drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hansen drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Hansen off! Hansen jumps back into King's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hansen controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Berendt Hansen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nathan King's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hansen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Hansen takes the fight into the clinch. Hansen lands a knee to the body.
Hansen has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Hansen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. King keeping moving, preventing Hansen from controlling successfully. Hansen tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard. King has his foot on Hansen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hansen works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hansen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. King isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hansen stacks King on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hansen!
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on King's face as Hansen controls the position. Hansen decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet. A punch combination from Hansen misses. Hansen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hansen controlling the position. King is not content to let Hansen control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is trying to control Hansen's posture but Hansen avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hansen decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet. Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hansen wants the takedown. King is fighting it off but Hansen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in King's guard against the cage. Hansen works a leg free and moves into half guard. King trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen controlling the action here. Hansen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Hansen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. King is looking to control Hansen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can King avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Berendt Hansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Nathan King's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hansen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Hansen finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hansen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hansen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A nice leg kick lands there from Hansen. Hansen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hansen in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen works his way into side control. King is trying to get back to half guard. Hansen decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet. Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hansen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen passes to full mount! That's big trouble for King! Hansen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hansen looking to control but King is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hansen stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Hansen throws a one two combo.
King shoots and misses and Hansen moves into the clinch. Hansen manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen drags the fight down to the ground.
Hansen tries to land a sweep but no joy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hansen can do anything to dispel that myth. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hansen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hansen is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Berendt Hansen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. King missing with knees to the body.

Hansen is pulling down on King's head. It's preventing any offense from King, at least for the moment. King trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hansen's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen wriggles free and stands up. Hansen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hansen moves into the clinch successfully.

Hansen punishes King's body with a nice straight punch. Hansen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nathan King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hansen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hansen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Berendt Hansen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hansen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
