Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Gellar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and aphro desiac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ross Gellar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, aphro desiac!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gellar wants to clinch.
desiac throws a sloppy head kick and Gellar moves out of range easily.
Gellar misses with a few strikes there.
Gellar is looking to clinch but desiac is avoiding it.
Ross Gellar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
desiac dodges the punch combination from Gellar.
desiac is looking to clinch.
Gellar darts in trying to clinch

and desiac counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gellar!
desiac with a couple of short strikes.
desiac scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gellar is wriggling around trying to escape.
desiac takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

desiac is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
desiac sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gellar defending well though.

desiac prevents Gellar from standing back up.
Gellar is staying active underneath desiac, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
desiac just misses with a punch to the body.

desiac feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gellar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Gellar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Nice takedown defense from Gellar. No joy for desiac on that attempt.

desiac tries to clinch there but Gellar circles away.
Gellar lands a nice shot that snaps desiac's head back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

desiac wants to stand but Gellar has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gellar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gellar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gellar doesn't manage to clinch there - desiac circles away.
Gellar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but desiac paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gellar works over desiac's head and body with a nice combination.
Gellar misses with the combination.
Gellar tries to clinch up.
Gellar looks to clinch
and desiac counters with a left and a right that stings Gellar.

Gellar clinches up with desiac and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but aphro desiac will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Gellar's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gellar tries to hold on but desiac pushes him away.

desiac unloads with some shots from mount but Gellar bucks and avoids them well.
Gellar throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
desiac tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gellar tries to reverse the position but desiac maintains control.

desiac lands a big shot there that rocks Gellar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
desiac wants to control the pace but Gellar is squirming around nicely.
desiac thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Gellar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

aphro desiac comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got desiac winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
