Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock o Omer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jer Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jer Berry is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock o Omer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jer Berry!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omer slips a jab and a cross from Berry.

Omer tries to clinch up but Berry circles away and keeps his distance.
Omer moves away from the strike by Berry.
Berry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Horrible takedown by Berry or perhaps it was just good defense by Omer which made him look bad.
Omer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Berry jabbing away but nothing is landing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Berry makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berry wants to get back to his feet but Omer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Omer stands up and waves to Berry to follow him.

and Omer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Omer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Berry prevents it.

Omer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Berry just stands there and leans against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Omer fails to land.
Berry avoids a wild elbow strike from Omer.
Omer is trying to drag Berry to the mat but Berry just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Berry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Berry closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Omer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Berry is trying to control. Omer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Omer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rock o Omer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Omer has control of Berry's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Berry regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Omer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
