Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Waho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waho has chosen House Of pain - Jump Around as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Corey Waho enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Waho moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Waho is defended easily by Howard.
Waho dives in and grabs Howard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Howard pushes down on Waho's head and hops out.
Howard misses with a straight right.
Howard throws the left hand but Waho avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Howard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Waho counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Waho is working for an americana but Howard has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Waho was thinking about the submission.
Waho postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Waho, into his guard.
Howard throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Waho goes for an armbar but Howard turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Howard.

Waho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Howard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Waho has Howard in his guard.

Howard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waho swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Howard with a flurry of punches that miss.

Waho throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Howard escapes and throws Waho's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Howard stands up.
John Howard is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Howard.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Howard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
