Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gravis Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jorge Navarro!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader stuffs the takedown attempt from Navarro. Navarro gets slowly back to his feet.
Bader lands with a straight right. Navarro didn't see that one coming.
Bader keeps the fight on the outside.
Bader clobbers Navarro with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A right-left combo lands from Bader.
Bader gets a clinch.
Navarro is looking to break free of the clinch but Bader has double underhooks.
Navarro wants to get back to striking at distance but Bader won't allow it.
Bader breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bader defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Navarro.
Navarro misses with a takedown attempt - Bader sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gravis Bader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Navarro.
Navarro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Navarro walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bader thuds his right hand into Navarro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bader misses with a few strikes there.
Nice takedown defense from Bader. No joy for Navarro on that attempt.
Bader scores with a hook to the body. Navarro takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Navarro looks gassed!
Bader lands with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bader throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Navarro stumbling backwards into the cage! Navarro bounces back off the cage towards Bader, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Bader lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Bader celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gravis Bader!
