Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremiah Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jenkins dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Jenkins's head and hops out. Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jenkins keeps the fight on the outside. Jones tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it. Jones tries to clinch up but Jenkins circles away and keeps his distance. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jenkins. Jones tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it. Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jenkins scoring well with a low kick there.
Jenkins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jones throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease. Jenkins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Marcus Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremiah Jenkins. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.

Jones wants to clinch but Jenkins slips to the side and Jenkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jenkins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jenkins can't get the takedown.

Jenkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jenkins looks gassed! Jones lands an elbow that stopped Jenkins in his tracks for a moment. Jones gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jones is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jenkins is defending well for now. Jenkins goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt and Jenkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jenkins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jenkins. This has been an exciting period of action! Jenkins trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jenkins lands a couple of digs. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones is trying to control the position but Jenkins postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jenkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jenkins makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jenkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jenkins scoring with punches to the head and body. Jenkins wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones wants to clinch and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jenkins with the ground and pound but Jones uses the opportunity to regain guard. Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jenkins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones is trying to keep Jenkins in close.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jenkins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jenkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving. Jenkins controlling Jones's posture. Jenkins is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Jenkins tries to strike from the bottom.

Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jenkins. Jenkins missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins connects with a couple of short punches. Jones keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jenkins. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jenkins advances position into side control! Jenkins lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jones down.
Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jones regains half guard there - taking advantage of Jenkins's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jeremiah Jenkins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jenkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremiah Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jones throws a wild body kick that Jenkins sees coming a mile off. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jenkins gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Jenkins wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jenkins scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jenkins is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer. Jenkins controlling the action here. Ground and pound from Jenkins. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones is looking for a sweep. Jenkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jenkins is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jenkins working some strikes from top position. Jenkins postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow. Jones striking off his back. Jenkins lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Jenkins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Check out the look on Jenkins's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jenkins advances to mount. Jenkins is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Jenkins extends the arm and Jones is forced to tap!
