Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Ng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Ng is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Welch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Ng! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Welch throws a sloppy head kick and Ng moves out of range easily. Welch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Welch takes one to the chin there. Welch gets a takedown into half guard. Welch is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ng is looking to escape. Welch trying to control from half guard but Ng is working away. Welch is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ng is just riding it out for now. Welch eventually gives up the hold. Welch wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Ng uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ng wants to get back to his feet but Welch is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Welch looking to sit in guard and control but Ng gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ng decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nick Ng is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Welch is breathing heavily. Ng lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Brian Welch has been cut. A thudding body kick lands there by Ng!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ng lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Welch at a distance.
Welch takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ng connects with a nice cross there... Welch is looking wobbly and Ng recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Welch to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Ng jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nick Ng!
