Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Skywalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Bastion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Luke Skywalker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Luke Skywalker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skywalker tries to clinch but Bastion moves out of range.
Good shot there by Skywalker.
Skywalker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bastion but Bastion pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Skywalker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bastion fails with the takedown
and Bastion takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bastion avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Bastion counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bastion.

Skywalker is pulling down on Bastion's head. It's preventing any offense from Bastion, at least for the moment.
Bastion wants to control from the top but Skywalker keeps moving.

Bastion drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bastion jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Skywalker wants to stand up but Bastion is controlling him.
Bastion should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bastion forces his way into half guard.
Bastion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Skywalker keeps working.
Skywalker is pressing down on Bastion's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Skywalker doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Skywalker moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bastion pushes Skywalker off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bastion misses with a double jab
and Skywalker counters with an outside leg kick.
Skywalker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bastion.

Bastion shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Skywalker is trying to defend but Bastion finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
