Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vice Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rodrigo silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Striker circles away.
Striker throws a quick inside leg kick.
silva throws a right and a left that Striker avoids nicely.
Striker lands a high kick!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Striker is defended easily by silva.
silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
silva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Striker counters with a nice double leg into side control. silva won't be happy with that.
Striker is looking to take a break and control but silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Striker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Striker tries to clinch up but silva circles away and keeps his distance.

silva leaves Striker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Striker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Striker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Striker wants to control from the top but silva keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Striker won't allow silva to get back to his feet.
Striker tries to free his leg and advance position but silva is retaining full guard.

Striker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Strikeris looking to pass into half guard but silva pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now silva is in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
silva stands up from Striker's guard - silva perhaps looking for a knockout.
silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Striker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
silva throws a big shot that misses.
Striker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and silva moves into the clinch.
silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Striker leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Striker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but silva has him pressed against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Striker is trying to maintain a safe position but silva gets an underhook and turns Striker into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
silva bucks up and throws Striker to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Striker jumps guard but silva stands there with Striker around his waist. Striker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

silva walks forward, straight into a front kick from Striker.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Striker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from silva.
Some bone on bone action there as Striker checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Striker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Striker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Striker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as silva is looking to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Poor strikes thrown by Striker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Striker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Striker goes for an armbar but silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from silva.

Vice Striker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Striker has a hand on silva's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. silva takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
silva stands up from mount. Strange move.

I would just about give that final round to rodrigo silva.
I think Striker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
