Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Thornhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thornhill has chosen Five Finger Death Punch Meet The Monster as his entrance music. The key to victory for Steve Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Thornhill! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Thornhill's head backwards.
It looks like Jack Thornhill has been cut. Thornhill ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Thornhill's shoulder, as Thornhill tries to avoid the shot. Jones lands a big right hand that sends Thornhill crashing to the mat! Jones stays standing though and waves Thornhill back to his feet! Thornhill shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Thornhill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Thornhill on that attempt. Thornhill defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand. No luck with that takedown attempt from Thornhill. Steve Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Thornhill. Thornhill is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thornhill not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Thornhill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thornhill is aware though and is defending well. Thornhill wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet. Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thornhill! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thornhill can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones working for a submission but Thornhill is keeping him at bay. Jones looking to control but Thornhill is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jones looking for a guillotine from mount but Thornhill is having none of it. Thornhill defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones. Thornhill working to try and regain half guard.
Thornhill is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Thornhill regains half guard. Thornhill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thornhill pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones trying to mount his opponent but Thornhill defends it. Thornhill misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Jones working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Thornhill's thigh. Thornhill counters though and makes it back to full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Thornhill keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones slips nicely into half guard. Thornhill pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to take a breather but Thornhill is having none of it. Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thornhill sees it coming and defends easily. Thornhill tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones stops Thornhill from getting back to his feet.
Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Thornhill landing rabbit punches to the side of Jones's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Thornhill scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jones manages to mount him!
Jones looking to ground and pound but Thornhill is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones is going olschool here, as he tries to force Thornhill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thornhill shrugs it off. Jones throwing strikes here but Thornhill is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Thornhill tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control. Thornhill defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones. Thornhill working to try and regain half guard.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jones looking to control but Thornhill is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Thornhill is trying to stand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thornhill gets back to half guard. Thornhill is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.
Jones trying to mount his opponent but Thornhill defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jack Thornhill's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones jabs at Thornhill's body. Thornhill displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Jones works Thornhill's body with a nice hook. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thornhill manages to avoid it. Jones drops Thornhill with a beautiful combination! Thornhill stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!
Thornhill is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thornhill slips under a jab. Jones scores with a hook to the body. Thornhill takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Thornhill gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thornhill is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing. A big right from Jones misses. Thornhill seems to have recovered his senses. Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thornhill. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Thornhill falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jones dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Jones!
