Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Laffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biff Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Larry Laffer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Biff Webster! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laffer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Webster paws at him with a jab and circles away. Laffer fails with a takedown attempt. Laffer shoots in looking for a takedown. Webster tries to sprawl out of it but Laffer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Webster manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A nice combination there by Webster.
Laffer misses with a low kick as Webster jumps back. Laffer shoots in and drives through. Webster sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Larry Laffer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Webster takes the fight into the clinch. Webster has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Laffer regains guard immediately. Webster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Laffer keeping moving, preventing Webster from controlling successfully. Webster is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Laffer trying to control the position.
Webster with a flurry of punches that miss. Webster trying to control but Laffer is working from the bottom. Webster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laffer is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Webster is pushing down on Laffer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Laffer is fighting to maintain full guard but Webster has managed to sneak the leg through. Laffer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Webster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Laffer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Laffer attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Laffer fails with a takedown attempt. Laffer tries for a takedown but Webster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A left lands for Webster. Some wild striking there from Webster.
Laffer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laffer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Webster slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laffer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Laffer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Laffer trying to control the position from guard on top but Webster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Webster is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Webster has his hands on Laffer's head, controlling the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Webster trying to keep a closed guard but Laffer is proving a slippery customer.
Webster doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Laffer regains half guard. Laffer tries to roll over but Webster keeps him under control. Laffer is working hard here to advance position. Laffer looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Webster pushes past his half guard into mount! Laffer is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Webster tries to control but Laffer wriggling away. Laffer tries to reverse the position but Webster maintains control. Webster sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Webster lands with some strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Webster controlling from mount. Laffer is desperately trying to improve his position but Webster has a good base and remains in mount. Laffer wants to control but Webster is having none of it. BOOM! Webster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Biff Webster dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Webster misses with a series of wild punches.
Laffer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Webster's waist but Webster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laffer off to one side. Laffer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Laffer misses with a takedown attempt and Webster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Laffer won't be happy with that. Webster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Laffer keeps working. Laffer stops Webster from passing to mount. Webster with the ground and pound but Laffer regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Webster trying to pass the guard but Laffer defending well. Laffer has his hands clasped together around Webster's back. He's all about the action. Laffer is staying active underneath Webster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laffer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Webster wants to take a breather but Laffer is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Laffer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Webster's guard. Webster is trying to control the position but Laffer postures up. Laffer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Laffer advances to half guard. Laffer is stalling here. Webster is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Laffer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Webster has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Webster tries to land a front kick but Laffer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Larry Laffer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Webster scores with a jab. Laffer acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Laffer tries for a takedown but Webster circles away easily and Webster counters with a shoot takedown. Laffer fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Biff Webster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Webster throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Laffer. Laffer tries to clinch and Laffer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Webster misses with a straight left. Laffer misses with a takedown attempt and Webster counters with a body kick. Webster gets a takedown into half guard. Webster passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Laffer! Laffer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Webster lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Webster misses with a head shot. Laffer blocking the ground and pound. Laffer tries to lock up and control but Webster gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Laffer avoids a series of strikes thrown by Webster.
Laffer is looking to get to half guard. Webster working away from the top, dropping strikes. Webster landing shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Webster looking to control and managing it successfully. Webster lands with some strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Webster cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Laffer regains half guard. Laffer wants to get back to full guard. Webster perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Laffer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Webster tries to pass to full mount but Laffer defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Biff Webster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Webster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
