Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabilondo Soler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jossa Rugsveen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabilondo Soler has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gabilondo Soler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jossa Rugsveen! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soler takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Soler feints and as Rugsveen raises his hands in defense, Soler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Soler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Soler tries to free his leg and advance position but Rugsveen is retaining full guard. Rugsveen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Soler defends well. Soler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rugsveen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Soler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rugsveen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rugsveen misses with a head kick.
Donk. Rugsveen catches Soler right on the button with a cross. Rugsveen is looking to clinch. Soler decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soler is looking for a kimura but Rugsveen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Soler to get the leverage. Soler is trying to work for a kimura but Rugsveen is defending well.
Soler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Soler is breathing heavily. Rugsveen tries to get to full guard but Soler has control of the leg. Soler tries to pass to full mount but Rugsveen defends it. Rugsveen trying to hold on to Soler's head to control him but Soler postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Soler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soler won't allow Rugsveen to sweep him here. Soler tries to free his leg and advance position but Rugsveen is retaining full guard. Soler advances to half guard. Rugsveen wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soler seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rugsveen is in trouble now - Soler has advanced to mount! Soler prevents Rugsveen from getting the reversal. Rugsveen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rugsveen tries to reverse the position but Soler maintains control. Rugsveen tries to hold on but Soler pushes him away. Rugsveen blocking the ground and pound. Soler is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rugsveen is surviving well by controlling Soler's body position as best he can. Rugsveen flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soler looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Rugsveen working to try and regain half guard.
Rugsveen wants to hold on but Soler pushes him away. Rugsveen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rugsveen wants to control but Soler is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Soler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rugsveen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Soler is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rugsveen is looking to improve his position but Soler isn't that keen on the idea. Soler is working for a guillotine from mount but Rugsveen frees his head quite easily.
Rugsveen is controlling an arm, preventing Soler from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Rugsveen wants to hold on but Soler pushes him away. Soler jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rugsveen manages to avoid the submission attempt. Soler has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rugsveen is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Soler yanks on the arm and Rugsveen is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Soler.
