Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dane ONeill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kunilinger Ebalajtung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dane ONeill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kunilinger Ebalajtung! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! ONeill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ebalajtung is positioning himself to get back to half guard. ONeill controlling the position. Ebalajtung is looking for a sweep. ONeill trying to control the action but Ebalajtung is working from the bottom. Ebalajtung is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. ONeill tries for a kimura but Ebalajtung is defending well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ebalajtung fails with a takedown attempt. Ebalajtung is looking to clinch. Ebalajtung shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ebalajtung gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ebalajtung wants to stand and escape but ONeill is having none of it. ONeill trying to control but Ebalajtung is working from the bottom. Ebalajtung is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. ONeill lands a couple of digs. ONeill is working Ebalajtung over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. ONeill wants to pass the guard but Ebalajtung is keeping the position. ONeill works a leg free and moves into half guard. ONeill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. ONeill stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. ONeill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. ONeill is trying to get an arm triangle but Ebalajtung is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ebalajtung's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ebalajtung throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. ONeill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ebalajtung is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ebalajtung can't do much from the bottom here. ONeill working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ebalajtung regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ebalajtung is trying to maintain the position but ONeill is very close to passing his half guard. Ebalajtung is looking to escape.

He catches Ebalajtung napping and manages to drive through into side control! ONeill working the head with strikes. Ebalajtung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ebalajtung is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and ONeill defends well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

ONeill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ebalajtung is looking to control ONeill's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ebalajtung avoid being mounted? ONeill is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Nice strikes from ONeill there. Ebalajtung wants to control but ONeill is keeping busy.

Ebalajtung is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ebalajtung wants to get back to his feet but ONeill is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ebalajtung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. ONeill working Ebalajtung over with strikes. Ebalajtung has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. ONeill is working away from the top position though. ONeill landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. ONeill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ebalajtung slaps away a takedown attempt from ONeill, before circling back to the center of the mat.

ONeill tries for a takedown but Ebalajtung circles away easily and Ebalajtung makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ebalajtung tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ebalajtung misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ebalajtung manages to escape and get back to his feet! Kunilinger Ebalajtung has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! ONeill shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than ONeill was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that's the end of the fight! Dane ONeill showed his dominance in that final round. Well ONeill has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
