Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Diddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Diddy!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Williams.
Williams ducks under a wild hook from Diddy.
Diddy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Diddy throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Williams fails in his attempt to clinch.
Williams tries to clinch up but Diddy circles away and keeps his distance.
Diddy looks to land a body kick but Williams moved away.
Williams tries to clinch up but Diddy circles away and keeps his distance.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Diddy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Diddy throws a shot from downtown. Williams moves away and avoids it.
Diddy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams tries to clinch but Diddy moves out of range.

Williams keeps control of Diddy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Diddy wants to get back to striking at distance but Williams won't allow it.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diddy scores with a hook.
Diddy cracks Williams with an open hand slap.
Williams tries to clinch there but Diddy circles away.
Diddy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Frank Diddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams looks for a takedown but Diddy sprawls well.

Diddy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Diddy throws an elbow but Williams slips to the side and avoids it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diddy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Williams blocks the body kick.
Diddy jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice sprawl there from Diddy as Williams shoots in.
Diddy just misses with a punch to the body.
Diddy slips a jab and a cross from Williams.
Williams tries to clinch up but Diddy circles away and keeps his distance.
Diddy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diddy but Diddy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Diddy tries to circle away but Williams has him pinned against the cage.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Williams takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Williams ducks under a wild hook from Diddy.
Diddy throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily.
Williams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Diddy counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Williams moves into full guard.
Diddy is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Diddy is looking to work some ground and pound but Williams has wrist control.
Diddy looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Diddy wants to stand but Williams is controlling the position.
Williams wants to control from the top but Diddy keeps moving.
Diddy throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diddy is keeping the position for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Williams rushes Diddy and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Williams works on Diddy's body with a couple of short punches.
Diddy tries to circle away but Williams has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Diddy dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Williams takes one to the side of the head.
Diddy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Diddy shoots in but no luck this time.
Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Diddy scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Williams throws a head kick that misses.
Ronald Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diddy throws a hook but Williams blocks it.
Williams fails in his attempt to clinch.

Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diddy as he avoids it easily.

Williams clinches up with Diddy and pushes him back against the cage.
Williams tries a knee to the head but Diddy blocks it.
Diddy prevents the takedown attempt.
Diddy is trying to break the clinch but Williams is controlling him.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diddy jabs Williams right on the nose. Williams blinks but takes it well.
Williams walks into a left hand.
Williams slips a jab from Diddy.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diddy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Diddy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Williams has time to react.

Diddy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Diddy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Diddy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Williams takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Williams takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Williams forces Diddy back against the cage and clinches.

Williams stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Diddy's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Diddy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Williams. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Frank Diddy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Williams takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Frank Diddy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Diddy scores with a hook to the body. Williams takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Diddy lands a glancing blow to the side of Williams's head.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Diddy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Diddy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Williams on the side of the head.
Diddy throws out a powerful jab.
Diddy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Diddy.
Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Diddy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Williams dives in and grabs Diddy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diddy pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.
Diddy throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Diddy lands a really nice looking cross but Williams seems unphased.

Williams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Diddy to score with a decent uppercut.
Williams walks into a stiff left hand from Diddy.
Williams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diddy counters with a straight right hand.
Williams takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Williams wants to clinch up but Diddy keeps it at a distance.
Diddy lands a glancing blow to the side of Williams's head.


Williams is rocked!
Diddy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Williams's hands.
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams moves out of range of the body kick from Diddy.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Diddy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronald Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diddy throws a monster overhand right that drops Williams! Diddy follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
