Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vichnou Shiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Buck cherry. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Vichnou Shiva has been cut.
Shiva ducks under a wild hook from Mathers.
Mathers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shiva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mathers cracks Shiva with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mathers takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mathers throws a right hand that Shiva ducks under and follows up with a left that Shiva also avoids with ease.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Shiva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mathers tries to avoid it but Shiva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mathers to the ground. Mathers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mathers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shiva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mathers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shiva's back instead.
Mathers is trying to stick to Shiva's back but Shiva is turning into Mathers. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mathers's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Shiva.
