Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pooby Phants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cato McGraw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Phants might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Voodoo Chile. Pooby Phants has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pooby Phants! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Cato McGraw! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGraw shoots in for a double leg but Phants sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Phants avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Phants smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. McGraw misses with a straight right. Phants takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nice shot lands for Phants. McGraw throws a head kick but Phants moves out of range.
Phants digs a good hook to McGraw's body.
McGraw tries a head kick but it misses.
Phants misses with a series of wild punches.
Phants throws a right and a left that both miss. A head kick from McGraw lands but Phants takes it in his stride.
It looks like Pooby Phants has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGraw gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Phants is not content to let McGraw control the position. McGraw fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phants is not in a great position here, taking some shots. McGraw sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Phants is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McGraw grinds an elbow into Phants's temple. McGraw wants to control for a moment but Phants uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Phants with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Phants prevents McGraw from improving his position. McGraw flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
McGraw tries to get to full guard but Phants has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McGraw looks gassed! Phants seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Phants has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. McGraw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Phants wants to stand up but McGraw has a hold of him and won't allow it. Phants prevents McGraw from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McGraw throws out a leg kick but Phants moves out of range and McGraw only half commits. McGraw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Phants's guard. McGraw tries to free his leg and advance position but Phants is retaining full guard. McGraw is looking to work some ground and pound but Phants has wrist control. McGraw is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. McGraw trying to control but Phants is working from the bottom. McGraw with a flurry of punches that miss. McGraw trying to control the position from guard on top but Phants is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McGraw being controlled here momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGraw looking to pass the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Phants bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McGraw's head backwards. McGraw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phants.
McGraw on the wrong end of a nice hook. McGraw scores with a nice strike. McGraw fails with the takedown. Phants lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Phants fails in his attempt to clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A decent looking cross lands there for Phants.
McGraw is rocked! Phants digs a good body shot into McGraw's ribs. Phants connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt McGraw! He's out on his feet! Phants rushes in and drops McGraw with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pooby Phants! Pooby Phants retains his light heavyweight title!
