Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fails to land the takedown.
Kane tries to close the distance and clinch but Thompson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kane misses with a takedown
and Thompson counters with a one-two to the body.
Kane is breathing heavily.

Thompson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kane was covering up waiting for the punch and Thompson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Thompson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kane pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kane lands with a hook. Thompson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kane tries to lock up and control but Thompson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Thompson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Thompson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
