The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Vinicius shoots in.
Vinicius is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vinicius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Vinicius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vinicius throws the kick towards the body but Gracie avoids it.
A slow jab from Gracie misses its intended target.
Vinicius fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away.
Jacko Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Vinicius.
Gracie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Marcus Vinicius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie throws a leg kick that misses.
Vinicius shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vinicius gets slowly back to his feet.

Gracie loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Vinicius scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gracie land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gracie stands and salutes the crowd.
