Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Cavalera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Friedrich Nietzsche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Cavalera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Friedrich Nietzsche!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cavalera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cavalera is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nietzsche wants to control but Cavalera is keeping busy.

Cavalera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nietzsche is just riding it out for now. Cavalera eventually gives up the hold.
Nietzsche wants to get back to full guard.

Cavalera is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nietzsche defends it well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nietzsche is looking to clinch but Cavalera is avoiding it.
Cavalera throws a right hand that Nietzsche ducks under and follows up with a left that Nietzsche also avoids with ease.
Cavalera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nietzsche tries to avoid it but Cavalera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nietzsche to the ground. Nietzsche escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cavalera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nietzsche drops his hands momentarily and Cavalera takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cavalera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nietzsche manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cavalera shoots in and bounces Nietzsche off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Nietzsche wants to sweep but no luck.

Nietzsche is working an open guard so Cavalera takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Cavalera has hold of one of Nietzsche's legs. Nietzsche is fighting the takedown attempt but Cavalera gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Nietzsche seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cavalera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nietzsche wants to clinch up but Cavalera keeps it at a distance.

Cavalera has Nietzsche up against the cage in a clinch.
Cavalera connects with a knee to the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cavalera. Nietzsche does a little dance to reset his feet.

Cavalera gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cavalera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nietzsche.
