Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Oertling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Lord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Oertling! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lord dives in and grabs Oertling's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oertling pushes down on Lord's head and hops out. Oertling misses with a takedown and Lord decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oertling's guard. Oertling has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Lord is looking to work some ground and pound but Oertling has wrist control. Oertling wants to get back to his feet but Lord is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lord throws and elbow that misses. Oertling uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lord's guard. Nice move by Oertling! Lord manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Lord shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oertling napping and manages to drive through into side control! Oertling is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lord's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Lord is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lord is keen to just control but Oertling is a slippery customer. Lord postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Oertling to stand up. Oertling scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Oertling closes the distance but Lord moves to the side and Lord counters by moving into the clinch. Oertling lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Matt Lord has been cut. Lord is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Oertling gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Oertling manages to break the clinch.
Lord tries to clinch up but Oertling circles away and keeps his distance. Lord drops his hands momentarily and Oertling takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oertling displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lord. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Lord. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oertling scores with a leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Oertling. Lord on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Oertling. Oertling obviously looking to wear him down.
Lord is breathing heavily. Lord shoots for a takedown but Oertling saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lord blocks a head kick by Oertling.
Lord tries to clinch but Oertling moves out of range. Lord dodges the punch combination from Oertling.
Oertling lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Oertling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lord as he jumps to the side. Oertling is looking to clinch but Lord is avoiding it.
Oertling tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Lord counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lord pushes down on Oertling's leg and manages to get into half guard. Oertling flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Oertling is trying to stand.
Lord is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lord is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oertling is just riding it out for now. Lord eventually gives up the hold. Oertling tries to kick Lord off but Lord keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Oertling is looking to improve his position.
Lord is taking a breather. Oertling says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Oertling closes the distance and pushes Lord back into the cage. Lord decides to pull guard. Lord wants to sweep here but Oertling controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Lord dominated that round. The cut man is working on Matt Lord's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Oertling lands with a kick to the temple. Lord shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Lord gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Oertling counters with a head kick. That will keep Lord thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Oertling has Lord up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Lord.

Oertling fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lord, pushing him back against the cage. Lord wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Oertling lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Lord. Oertling stops a takedown attempt from Lord.
Lord jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oertling walks away with a smile on his face. Lord gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Lord. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lord takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oertling misses with a body punch
and Lord counters with a stiff right hand. Oertling scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Oertling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lord as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lord is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oertling misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lord. Oertling throws a nice looking combination but Lord bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Oertling scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Oertling sizes up Lord with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Oertling fails to land the takedown. Lord tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Oertling shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lord moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lord pulls Oertling in to control the position. Lord is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lord blocks the strikes from Oertling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lord is taking a breather. Oertling says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lord seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oertling for as long as he can get away with. Lord is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Oertling gets full guard. Oertling is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lord is controlling him. Lord loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lord wants to control from the top but Oertling keeps moving. Oertling being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Oertling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Matt Lord's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lord is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Oertling landing with the ground and pound. Lord uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Oertling manages to get full guard. Matt Lord overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lord decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Oertling is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lord is controlling him. The referee asks Lord politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lord prefers to stall for the moment though. Oertling is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
