0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sydney Simpson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams moves into the clinch. Simpson can't get the takedown.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Simpson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Williams sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Williams scores with a three punch combo!

Williams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Williams is breathing heavily. Simpson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams. Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Simpson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Williams is staying active. Simpson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Simpson tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simpson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Simpson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Williams has passed into side control.
Williams wants to control but Simpson is keeping him busy. Simpson is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Simpson keeps working. You can see the frustration on Simpson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Simpson is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Simpson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Williams misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Williams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Williams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Williams trying to control the position but Simpson is working away. Simpson is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. Stank Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williams staying calm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Simpson is not content to let Williams control the position. Stank Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Simpson closes the distance looking to clinch and Williams holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sydney Simpson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Simpson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Williams's elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Stank Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
