Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Yamamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Cannon! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cannon stuffs the takedown attempt from Yamamoto. Yamamoto gets slowly back to his feet. Yamamoto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cannon to the mat! Cannon manages to get full guard. Cannon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yamamoto manages to get himself to full guard.
Cannon throws a big right hand that misses. Yamamoto wants to sweep here but Cannon controlling him for the moment. Cannon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamamoto controls Cannon momentarily but Cannon frees himself. Cannon trying to control but Yamamoto is working from the bottom. Cannon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yamamoto's guard. Cannon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Yamamoto is looking to improve his position but Cannon isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon controlling the pace for now. Cannon landing strikes from the mount and Yamamoto is in trouble! Yamamoto is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cannon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Yamamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cannon wants to work for an arm triangle but Yamamoto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Yamamoto makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yamamoto. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yamamoto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cannon is one step ahead there. Cannon sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cannon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Cannon dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cannon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yamamoto's guard. Yamamoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cannon advances to half guard. Yamamoto is trying to maintain the position but Cannon is very close to passing his half guard. Cannon is trying to control. Yamamoto wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Yamamoto manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cannon is looking to work some ground and pound but Yamamoto has wrist control. Yamamoto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Yamamoto keeping full guard, as Cannon tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yamamoto has momentary wrist control but Cannon slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cannon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yamamoto was covering up waiting for the punch and Cannon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cannon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cannon stands and throws Yamamoto's legs to the side, diving into side control. Yamamoto is trying to improve his position. Yamamoto is working hard here to advance position. Cannon landing a few strikes. Chris Cannon has got the better of the ground game so far. Cannon is putting a hurting on Yamamoto here, landing some big shots from side control. Yamamoto tries to bench press Cannon off him but Cannon keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yamamoto has escaped the position, nice work there. Cannon grinds an elbow into Yamamoto's temple. Yamamoto tries to bench press Cannon off him but Cannon keeps the position. Cannon trying to control the action but Yamamoto is working from the bottom. Yamamoto takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Yamamoto is trying to improve his position. Cannon works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cannon shoots in and bounces Yamamoto off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cannon thows a big elbow that misses. Cannon working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Yamamoto keeping moving, preventing Cannon from controlling successfully. Yamamoto has his feet on Cannon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Yamamoto prevents Cannon from getting the reversal. Yamamoto is going olschool here, as he tries to force Cannon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cannon shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cannon is now in Yamamoto's guard. A big mistake from Yamamoto there, giving up the dominant position! Cannon stays in close to Yamamoto's body and controls the position. Yamamoto managing to control the position. Cannon is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Yamamoto looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cannon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Cannon wants to work for an arm triangle but Yamamoto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Yamamoto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cannon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cannon's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Cannon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Yamamoto tries for a takedown but Cannon circles away easily and Cannon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yamamoto's guard now. Cannon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Yamamoto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cannon is aware though and is defending well. Yamamoto looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cannon passes Yamamoto's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cannon lands a nice short elbow. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cannon connects with a nice short shot to Yamamoto's temple. Cannon scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nice strikes from Cannon there. Cannon passes to full mount! Cannon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yamamoto has his hands on Cannon's head, controlling the position. Cannon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Yamamoto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cannon is working away from the top position though. Cannon slips a nice elbow through Yamamoto's hands, connecting with Yamamoto's forehead. Daisuke Yamamoto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chris Cannon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Yamamoto is looking to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Cannon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cannon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
