Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Wolowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sheldon Wolowitz! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolowitz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Peters shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Peters not landing any meaningful shots this time. Peters seems to be working for a kimura but Wolowitz defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wolowitz wants to get back to his feet.
Peters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peters is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Peters is trying to work for a kimura but Wolowitz is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolowitz tries to kick Peters off but Peters keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wolowitz is defending against the submission attempts here by Peters.
Peters is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wolowitz is just riding it out for now. Peters eventually gives up the hold. Peters is breathing heavily. Peters wants to work for an arm triangle but Wolowitz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Peters is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wolowitz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Peters. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wolowitz wants to get back to his feet.

Peters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wolowitz tries to avoid it but Peters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wolowitz to the ground. Wolowitz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peters walks into a left hand. Wolowitz works Peters's body with a nice hook. Wolowitz lands a slapping body shot.

Peters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wolowitz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Peters moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wolowitz lands a with a good body shot. Nice sprawl there from Wolowitz as Peters shoots in. Wolowitz scores with a shot to the body.

Wolowitz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A jab lands there for Wolowitz. Jab from Wolowitz. Peters has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Wolowitz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Wolowitz's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Wolowitz duly obliges. John Peters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wolowitz connects with a looping right hand.

Peters staggers backwards, shaken. Peters dives in and grabs Wolowitz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wolowitz pushes down on Peters's head and hops out. Wolowitz stuns Peters with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Peters needs to keep his hands up - Wolowitz had a free shot at his head there. Danga de danga de dang - Wolowitz scores with a four punch combination! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peters is defended easily by Wolowitz. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wolowitz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Good standup being displayed there by Wolowitz as he connects with a hook. John Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wolowitz scores with a big left there. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Peters tries to move into range but Wolowitz moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wolowitz lands with a hook. Peters tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Wolowitz lands a lovely overhand right. Wolowitz scores with a hook to the body. Peters takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A right-left combo lands from Wolowitz. Wolowitz darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Nice straight punches there by Wolowitz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wolowitz. Wolowitz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A left and a right from Wolowitz both land. Nice combination. Peters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wolowitz's waist but Wolowitz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peters off to one side. Peters tries for a takedown but Wolowitz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Peters shoots in for a takedown but Wolowitz shows good takedown defense. Wolowitz cracks Peters with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Peters is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wolowitz. Wolowitz scores with a nice strike. Peters keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolowitz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Peters takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. No luck with that takedown attempt from Peters. Peters closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wolowitz circles away. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Wolowitz!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wolowitz throws a series of punches but Peters moves out of range. A lazy left from Wolowitz finds it's target. Peters takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
