Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Long Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tito Ortiz looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Long Dong!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong scores with a hook to the body. Ortiz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dong moves in looking to clinch but Ortiz pushes him off.
Dong works Ortiz's body with a nice hook.
Ortiz is breathing heavily.
Dong wants to clinch up but Ortiz keeps it at a distance.
Dong moves in looking to clinch but Ortiz pushes him off.
Dong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ortiz closes the distance looking to clinch

and Dong counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Dong looking to finish!


Ortiz is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dong stands and steps away. Ortiz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ortiz dodges the punch combination from Dong.
Dong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dong pulls guard successfully.

Dong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ortiz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dong has his feet on Ortiz's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Dong misses with a head kick.
Dong throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ortiz.
Dong tries to clinch up.
Dong is looking to clinch but Ortiz is avoiding it.

Dong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ortiz, pushing him back against the cage.
Dong misses with an elbow strike.
Dong will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ortiz up against the cage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Dong.
Ortiz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dong avoids it.
Dong displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ortiz up against the cage.

Dong manages to break the clinch.
Dong slaps away a takedown attempt from Ortiz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ortiz walks into a left hand.

Dong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ortiz is trying to break free.
Ortiz tries to circle away but Dong has him pinned against the cage.
Dong managing to block the knees to the body from Ortiz.

Dong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dong goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Dong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ortiz swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Dong looking to finish with strikes here!
Ortiz tries to hold on but Dong pushes him away.
Ortiz holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dong tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Ortiz tries to hold on but Dong postures up.
Dong throwing strikes here but Ortiz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Ortiz wants to hold on but Dong pushes him away.

Dong moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ortiz has worked his arm free - good work by Ortiz!

Dong stands up.
Long Dong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dong with a poor takedown

and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ortiz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dong scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ortiz manages to mount him!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dong is working to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Long Dong dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dong tries for a takedown but Ortiz circles away easily
and Ortiz finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Dong pushes Ortiz up against the cage in a clinch.

Dong manages to break the clinch.
Ortiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dong's waist but Dong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ortiz off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dong is defended easily by Ortiz.
Ortiz misses with a shot to the body

and Dong counters with a single leg into guard. Ortiz didn't expect that.
Dong trying to control but Ortiz is working from the bottom.
Ortiz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ortiz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ortiz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ortiz has managed to get both his arms back between Dong's legs - danger averted.

Dong uses the cage to get back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ortiz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dong tries to clinch up
and Ortiz counters with a stiff right hand.
Dong closes the distance but Ortiz moves to the side

and Ortiz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dong fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tito Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Long Dong.
Ortiz is working Dong over against the cage.
Dong lands a nice shot to the body.
Dong has Ortiz pressed against the cage, preventing Ortiz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Dong stuffs the takedown attempt from Ortiz. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet.
Ortiz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dong. That one must have hurt.
Dong closes the distance but Ortiz moves to the side

and Ortiz counters by clinching up.
Dong is trying to stall.
Ortiz tries to break the clinch but Dong is controlling the position.
Dong lands a good knee to the midsection. Ortiz won't want to take too many of those.
Dong gets underhooks to prevent Ortiz's takedown attempt.
Ortiz tries to break free but Dong pushes him back against the cage.

Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dong tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dong won't be happy with that.
Ortiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dong keeps working.

Dong is pushing Ortiz's head away, looking to escape. Ortiz manages to hold on to the position though.

Ortiz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ortiz controlling the position.
Ortiz is looking to take a break and control but Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tito Ortiz will probably get the nod.
That's time! Ortiz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dong is refusing to be controlled, as Ortiz sits in half guard.

Dong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ortiz wants to control from the top but Dong keeps moving.
Ortiz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dong's guard.
Ortiz drops an elbow to the side of Dong's head.
Tito Ortiz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ortiz is trying to control the action in half guard but Dong is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dong tries to roll over but Ortiz keeps him under control.
Dong wants to control but Ortiz is keeping busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dong tries to clinch

and Ortiz counters by clinching up.
Ortiz wants to stall.
Ortiz can't break the clinch.
Dong jumps guard but Ortiz stands there with Dong around his waist. Dong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ortiz wants to break free but Dong has control.
Dong scores a nice knee to the body.
Dong is trying to drag Ortiz to the mat but Ortiz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dong looks to throw an elbow but misses.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dong taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Ortiz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dong gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dong pulls guard successfully.
Ortiz forces his way into half guard.
Dong wants to get back to his feet.
Ortiz wants to take a breather but Dong is having none of it.
Dong wants to get back to his feet.
Ortiz is looking to take a break and control but Dong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dong is looking to improve his position.
Ortiz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dong does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ortiz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dong swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Dong decides to pull guard.

Dong wants to get back to his feet but Ortiz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ortiz has gone for a leg lock! Dong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ortiz's guard.
Dong has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ortiz is proving hard to escape from.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Ortiz is keeping the position.

Dong gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Ortiz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tito Ortiz showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ortiz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
