Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and T Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Hawk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, T Rex! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rex fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hawk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rex looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawk is fending him off so far but Rex persists. Nope, Hawk circles away and we're back to standing.
Hawk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hawk lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hawk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rex's head. Rex wants to control but Hawk is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hawk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hawk throwing shots but Rex is blocking nicely. Hawk misses with a head shot. Rex uses the momentum to regain guard. Hawk throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rex works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hawk stands up from Rex's guard - Hawk perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hawk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rex's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hawk shoots in but no luck this time.
Hawk shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rex manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hawk with a nice head shot there. Hawk wants to stand but Rex is controlling his posture from full guard. Hawk is breathing heavily. Rex pulls Hawk in close to prevent any damage. Rex is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hawk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hawk with a flurry of punches that miss.

Hawk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rex looking for a sweep. Not yet Rex, not yet. Hawk wanted to stand there but Rex had control of the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rex holds on and takes a little breather. Rex manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hawk manages to get himself to full guard.
Hawk wants to hit a switch here but Rex passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hawk there! Hawk throws a strike from the bottom but Rex uses the opportunity to take his back. Hawk can't escape the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Rex has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Rex is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Rex lands punches and elbows. Hawk staying busy and making it hard for Rex to control. Hawk rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Hawk is looking for a sweep. Rex is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hawk is not content to let Rex control the position.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hawk doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rex counters by moving into the clinch. Rex wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hawk has him pressed against the cage. Rex is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rex misses with a hook from the clinch. Hawk working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Hawk breaks from the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rex. Hawk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hawk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rex to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rex is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hawk striking off his back, scoring a few points. Hawk throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hawk dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hawk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rex. Rex lands with a shot to the body. Rex tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hawk swivels and escapes.

Hawk doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Rex trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hawk lands a decent shot there. Hawk throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hawk wants to stand but Rex is controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hawk throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hawk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hawk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rex defends it nicely. Rex will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hawk shoots in for a double leg but Rex sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rex tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hawk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hawk tries for a takedown but Rex circles away easily
and Rex counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hawk's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hawk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hawk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rex manages to get himself to full guard.
Hawk cracks Rex with a solid left hand. Hawk connects with a couple of short punches.
Rex looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rex utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawk is working Rex over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rex wants to sweep here but Hawk controlling him for the moment. Rex is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hawk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hawk swats away the attempt to clinch by Rex.
Hawk moves into the clinch. Rex is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hawk is defending well for now. Stalling in the clinch from Rex.

Rex tries to close the distance and clinch but Hawk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Joe Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rex shoots in but no luck this time.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Rex shoots in for a takedown but Hawk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rex throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Rex counters with a takedown into side control. Hawk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hawk lands a couple of sideways elbows. Hawk wants to improve his position but Rex is controlling well.

Rex working Hawk over with strikes. Rex wants to take a breather but Hawk is having none of it. Rex wants to pass the guard but Hawk is defending well. Hawk tries to kick Rex off but Rex keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rex closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hawk comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Hawk lands a hook that snaps the head of Rex backwards. Rex makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Hawk lands an elbow inside that Rex shrugs off. Rex keeps control of Hawk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rex scores with a nice hook to the head.
Rex successfully pulls guard.
Rex is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hawk defends well.
Rex is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hawk is aware though and is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rex trying to keep a closed guard but Hawk is proving a slippery customer.
Rex seems keen to control Hawk's posture. Hawk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rex's head. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
T Rex showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Hawk keeps the fight on the outside. Rex moves in looking to clinch but Hawk pushes him off. Rex looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Hawk darts in trying to clinch enabling Rex to counter with a crisp jab. Hawk misses with a combination
and Rex counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hawk won't be happy with that.
Rex has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hawk throws a series of punches but Rex avoids them all with ease.
Hawk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rex looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hawk sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rex is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hawk lands a nice forearm strike. Rex is not in a great position here, taking some shots. T Rex has got the better of the ground game so far. Rex is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hawk off and has taken his back!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk breaks Rex's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rex controls Hawk momentarily but Hawk frees himself. Hawk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hawk scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hawk stands up over Rex, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rex is working an open guard so Hawk takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rex circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rex counters with a single leg into guard. Hawk didn't expect that. Hawk wants to stand up but Rex is controlling him. Hawk throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rex cracks Hawk with a solid left hand.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hawk has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rex off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Hawk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rex's waist but Rex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hawk off to one side.
Hawk moves into the clinch successfully.
Rex escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rex clinches. Still in the clinch, Hawk scores with a nice short uppercut. Hawk lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rex tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rex shoots for a takedown but Hawk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hawk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rex. Joe Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of T Rex. Rex pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hawk shoots in looking for a takedown. Rex tries to sprawl out of it but Hawk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rex manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rex slips a jab and a cross from Hawk.
Hawk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rex fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hawk gets caught flat footed, as Rex shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawk striking off his back, scoring a few points. Hawk throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Rex with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that's the end of the fight! T Rex comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rex has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
